I missed it catching the A380 but I think I would have had time to go over, snap it and make it back to HoBe like you guys did... given the DELAYS the German went through to get out!!

We had a nice crowd out to give the C-54 a send-off for air show season. Here are some shots from this afternoon.

    Final touches before departure.

    Engine run up.

On the roll...and they hit a few puddles on the runway.

    And a few more...

Tim is both the pilot and the tug driver.

Fred, is that you leaving nose prints on the window???

Mechanic Jeff Ellner, who also works at the Airpower Museum, checks an oil leak prior to take off. Remember, radial engines don't leak oil, they mark their territory...

Mark watches with a Park Service worker as the C-54 prepares for departure.

Wish I knew where that place was... Awsome shots as usual. After feeling how nice it was out while taking my dog for a walk I was like I should go out and try to get that Finnair MD-11. Couldnt bring myself to shake the lazy off today.
