Yeah LR will never replace PS for wavy and detailed retouching. However LR3 does make huge improvements over old versions with local adjustment tools, masking, etc which is great for minor retouching. Also anything you have ever done in ACR, is exactly what LR is but on steroids!

Sharpening (and even more so noise reduction) are among the biggest improvements in Lightroom 3 IMHO!

Just saw that RC too from one of my feeds... but sadly, the only think that would be interesting to me is the Nikkor 24-120 f/4 profile... but I am about two months away from buying the lens so i can wait for the final ;-)

    Manny,

Thanks for the explanations on Lightroom on the previous page, they were very helpful. I have recently bought 3.3 but I am still kind of lost with it. I will keep trying though ...

Really memorize the Five Rules... they help a lot.

Think of it just like ACR for develop module. The Grid and Edit modes of the Library Module are best of organization and management etc. Just think of the modules for what you;re actually trying to do... organizing? deleting, etc? LIBRARY... editing? DEVELOP

Don;t even bother with the other modules for now... get really acquainted with the LIBRARY as that is one of it's most powerful features. Develop module is the same as ACR so don;t worry about it if you you already know how to use ACR.

Think of how you want o INGEST images from your CF cards, and where you want to put them.

And by all means, GOOGLE GOOGLE GOOGLE!!! ;-) or feel free to ask here. I will do my best to answer questions.
