The three most common expressions in aviation are, "Why is it doing that?", "Where are we?" and "Oh Crap".

    Hi Fred,

I'll be sending out an email shortly. I applied last year, and got a call that a slot was available, but unfortunately I couldn't make it because of pipe work on the main sewage drain. I'm looking forward to this event.

    Thanks,

Just to let anyone who hasn't submitted for this yet...this is truly an amazing experience. The airport, even while open and operating, is so quiet and still that it really seems as you're one with the ships you're photographing and you can feel the history and experiences each bird has gone through. You'll find no other spotting opportunity like this for sure.

Email sent and hoping for the best. Thanks Fred!

Sorry about that Manny, I did send out a batch or notifications today, you should have just received it. I am supprised there were soo little entry's by NYCA this year. It will be a full event this year again but I need to wait until May 1st before the review process starts and the selections are made. All emails should be sent by the 5th of May.

Wow time flies - just under 1 day left to get your submissions in. For those who haven't taken part in a prior year, I highly recommend it.

With all the participating aircraft announced in the "Jones Beach Airshow 2011" thread, it's going to be an awesome opportunity.

I was combing the message boards looking for this thread last month and didn't see it. I thought the event this year might have been canceled.

Since I missed the deadline for this year, I wanted to thank derf for allowing me to come out in past years, and I hope all those who join the event this year enjoy it as much as I have in the past.

And derf, if a slot opens, I'd love to be considered as a late entry.

Fred, let's just say I don't always trust my SPAM filters, did notifications go out? Is not getting a response mean I was not selected? :-). Thank you sir!
