    Heading to Toronto

Headed to Toronto 2 week from today, will be there for a good 4 days. If the weather is good I really want to take a day and get some shots at Pearson International.

Has anyone ever spotted there ?

Kaz check this site out for some Pearson Intl spotting info. It starts off slow and about laser pointers, but scroll down and it gets more into locations and stuff.

I'm in Ottawa, spotted several times in TO.

Airport Road (Runway 23) is a great spot. Parking available at Wendy's and good deal of the arriving traffic in the afternoon. Aircraft are a bit over your head and some maneuvering is required to get side on shots. There are lots of businesses and warehouses in the area as well and their parking lots can give some good angles on approaching traffic.

There is a good spot off Airport road with some close views as they taxi around the corner on to 23.

The Bramlea spot next to Fed Ex is tolerable for 05 arrivals and departures, despite a tall fence. You can shoot through the gaps. Fairly busy with families and such. PARK ON THE RIGHT. A heavy 05 arrival by an AC 777.

The Silver Dart & Renforth spot is great for the 24's. A sexy winglet-ed 767 arrives on 24L.

My last visit to TO a few months back 33L was in use and the views on either side are fantastic. The infield cargo area is accessable and you can park discretely in any lot along Britannia. Check out the hills along Courtneypark Drive as they give a good vantage point. The infield spot can be backlit as demonstrated by this inaugural Hainan arriving on 33L.

Parking on Convair Drive is also an option (depending on the Peel Police mood) for traffic coming in on both 33L and the 06's, this BA is approaching 33L

The ravine that the AF A340 is along this route and the terrain drops off so you are well below the runway. Staying in line with the terrain you can snap traffic as it taxies, like this KLM waiting for departure off 06L.

The 15's are not in use too much but there are spots along Derry Rd. where you can certainly get some shots off. The AF here is arriving on 15L.

Thanks for the add on Flickr ;)

I have not been to the parking garage yet, but I do recall seeing a Korean Cargo shot that was of great quality taken from there by one of my contacts on Flickr. I'll see if I can dig it up.

Been there but ever spotted there!

AA MD-80 Going, AE ERJ-135 returning. Both great flights but the ERJ slammed 31 at LGA. Which was exciting for me but everyone else on the plane was like .

    Enjoy it!

Not sure if the Mad Dogs are still regular visitors, I get excited when an AA 737 appears in my viewfinder...

We had a MD-80 come into YUL as a sub for the usual 737 recently.
