    EWR Time Machine - DC10s

I'll follow Raj's lead and start a thread with some older EWR DC-10's

Sorry for the poor quality scans, there were so many slides to scan, I couldn't use a higher scan quality because of time restraints (mistake!).

    Enjoy,

    AJ

World DC-10 with small Air France titles, shot from the old North Terminal area. Also shows a Terminal C skeleton. This was later taken down for the present day design.

Leisure Air only brought in their DC-10's rarely, who knew that I would someday work in
    the building in the background.

I shot N1819U at EWR two weeks before the crash in SUX. This is the only shot that I have ever seen in its revised colors (stripes were lowered one level).

    Continental Micronesia

Emery Worldwide were quite common at EWR during their time.

    Enjoy,

    AJ

my favorite DC-10s were National's Sun Kings
The beehive hummm of the JT9D and GE CF680C2,the thunder of the JT8D-17,the rumble of the PW1830 and the high ,thin whine of the PW 545A are all music to my ears!

Seeing all these beauties really makes me wish I had the equipment and means of transportation back in the 90's.

American used a few white DC-10's for a while.

Didn't last long but FedEx did operate a few DC-10's for a short time in UA colors.

These were the days when CO had 4 flights a day into EWR

This shot was taken at the bottom of the old control tower, between the gates. I was never challenged, no one ever gave you a second look. Those were the days!!!

    Enjoy,

    AJ

    Thanks Raj.

727C47, this was not taken by me and is obviously not at EWR but is an original Douglas image, obtained through a credible source and one of the gems of my DC-10 slide collection.

How many dudes are out there looking at internet porn and here we are salivating over a bunch of old DC-10 pictures. We're a unique bunch to say the least.
