    SJU 1/7

I was originally scheduled to leave SJU today for JFK but because of the "snowstorm" I reboooked for early tomorrow afternoon, although it turns out my original flight this evening left on-time. I took the extra afternoon to spot at SJU and photographed the regular traffic. Nothing out of the ordinary but I was happy to finally snag a decent photograph of a Copa 737-700. I stopped by the airport yesterday morning on my way back from Vieques and noted an Air Bridge Cargo 747 parked at the airport and managed to snap a picture of the tail, the rest of the plane was blocked by a building and departed while I was visiting family.

Nice......looks like the extra day was worth it. By the way.........the snowstorm here was a dud. Just a dusting and that's it.

Gordon, very nice set! Great variety and some unique liveries. The Roblex is my favorite. How is access down there? What focal length do you need to fill the frame? I hope to get down there in the next couple years.

Great set! I also like the close up of the US Airways. Nice to see the hometown airline.

Thanks for the nice comments, guys. Concerning the US Airways shot, SJU is definitely the place to photograph a 767-200. There were four that passed through the airport yesterday.

Jeremy, access is pretty easy at SJU. There are a few spots around the perimeter of the airport and a designated spotting location called the "Aeroparque," which has a terrace overlooking the taxiway and runway 8. I used my 80-400mm lens for all of the shots but if you were to photograph an A340-300 or 747-400 side on you'd something smaller.
