    A380 & Rwy 31R

Just heard AFR6 check in with the tower and receive landing clearance on runway 31R. Flightaware shows it's the A380 today. Last I remember, the A380 could not land on runway 31R due to clearance issues with some ILS/antennas at the turnoff. When did the project complete to remove this equipment? It will certainly help capacity-wise to have a third runway config available for the A380 to land on.

    Paging Mr. Medford...

13L is fine, 31R is still not... but, it could be replaced by 777 like it has been for a few days this past week. Did the check in say Air France 6 "Super" or "Heavy" ?

Flightaware has been wrong in the past and I have been physically there to see it :-)

    Anyone witness it?

Besides it is more convenient for Air France to be on the left side :-)

It's hard to take chances but sometimes it's better if you do

ILS antenna is too close to one of the turnoffs to accommodate A380's wingspan.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9
