    PANC 12/5/10

Brandon & I spent the day at ANC getting some good action. Very cold day, and various body appendages turned various unhealthy colors through the day.

These shots dedicated to Brandon in fact, who's friendship and all around good guy-ness has not been lost on me this year.

One dirty, dirty stop. Who would've thought heat haze would've become a factor on a 17 degree day?

Glad to see these guys once before they move to Elmendorf

My favorite shot so far of the day, and contender for one of my favorites of the year:

I definitely don't envy the temperatures ya'll endured (Brandon actually couldn't go more than 30 min today in LA without talking about various color his hands were/how cold his feet were with 3 layers of socks/etc) but I do envy the crisp air and great light it looks like ya'll had. Great shots!

Thanks Jeremy! I do really appreciate it, honestly if it wasn't for you taking me under your wing as you have this last year I don't think I would be anywhere near where I am today and for that I will be forever thankful. It has been from the help of you and Keith that I have any of the skill that I have to this day and continue to try to improve on more and more.

Here is what I have so far, only one shot cause I was down in LAX today, but will get to some more later this week!
Although not as "exciting" as my Asiana shot this one to me is better and contending with shot of the year for me. Of course it is no secret that I love AS to death and more so that might also have something to do with it-

The three most common expressions in aviation are, "Why is it doing that?", "Where are we?" and "Oh Crap".

Maybe next year I'll end up in PANC maybe for a day or two of spotting. I almost ALMOST have the wife convinced. However, she wants to tag along with kid for a little vacation. So that cuts down my spotting... but a day of spotting is worth more than NO spotting at all!

Those shots are supreme! I thought I was cold during the Xmas cargo rush at PHL last year, but that was nothing

And I am finally geeting some done after being out of town yesterday in LA to thaw back out from the frigid temperatures-
    Local commuter Airlines Era Aviation-

The normal Alaska taking off from 7L-

Again one that creeped up as a surprise for favorite shot. The sky and everything is just superb to me-

    Evergreen Classic 747-

Close up of the nose for the F/O. I was able to get ahold of the crew last night threw my company email and they were thrilled to have gotten the shot-

    Still missing the Green One-

    Love the Cathay!-
