This year I have decided to put the airshow information guide on a separate website because I found it to be the quickest and most effective way of getting information out. It also gave me the tools to add more features to the guide. You can visit the site at http://www.nyasinfo.com . http://www.nyasinfo.com will probably be the primary source of information but I'll update the forums also.I would also like to thank Nycaviation for letting me put the airshow guide on these forums last year and continuing to let me post this guide!

I like the way you think. It's my Birthday weekend and I can't think of a better way to spend it.

This year being the Centenial of NAVAIR I would love to see the AAM/Organizers put together a Grumman Cat Flight in celebration of. Wildcat, Hellcat, Bearcat, and Tigercat are available. Sadly the days of a Tomcat or Panther are gone, but I'd be happy with the aforementioned!

The other thing would be to have the Horesemen back this year and fly the routine in Bearcat's!

I would love to see a Tomcat at the show, but I think it would cost too much $, even to keep a flying shell of it going.

I know a few years back we were supposed to have a B-2, but it got pulled, and when we had the F-22 there was such a huge buzz about it. We really need a high profile plane to put this year over the top.

I would love to see this year's show push the Navy theme.

    Here's my wishlist:
Since we got the 'Birds a Super Hornet Demo is hopefully in the cards along with legacy flight.
    Legacy Hornet Demo
    Harrier Demo
Above mentioned Cat Demo, or as many Navy warbirds as possible (F4U, TBM, PBY, S-2 Tracker etc...)
    E-2 Hawkeye fly-by
    EA-6B Prowler flyby
Horsemen Demo in Bearcat's or they have also done it in Corsair's

    Anything I'm missing????

    All those would be nice.

I expect AAM to have all their warbirds primed and ready and it would be nice if we got the F-18 legacy demo and maybe even a E-2 demo (yes they do have one). We'll get more information next month.

I still dont understand why they have never had the E-2 demo here! It makes no sense. I actually just got to meet 2 of the test pilots and they both said they love showing the E-2 to its hometown people. I think it would be a great oppertunity to show long island what long islanders can do.

On the same token, get an EA-18, EA-6B and of course the A-10, which is awesome!

you had better scrach the Thunderbirds off the list unless you know something I don't. No Details will be given.....and NO, the Blues will not be taking their place..... Possible Snowbirds. End of line

Nothing official yet, but there are widespread reports that they will be doing a European tour during June/July 2011, which will cause them to miss a number of their traditional domestic shows...

Well I have done my research and I have stated on the main site that the Thunderbirds are tentative. I'm sorry I didn't make it clear in this thread.

Also there is a zero percent chance of the Snowbirds coming because all of their North American dates are scheduled before Memorial Day.

That being said it is fair to make the assumption that it will most likely be the T-birds starring the show because the Blues are booked for 2011, the Snowbirds North American deployment is before Memorial Day, and it seems unlikely that the Red Arrows would headline or Jones Beach not having a major jet team at all.

As I said, it looks like the Thunderbirds can not make it, the Blues have other arrangements and they are trying for the Snowbirds. I would not go saying 0% as this is inside info and they have done it before when we did have a headliner. Red Arrows would be nice and if the AAM is trying a few neat ideas. ;)
