honestly that guy is an idiot. If it was anytime he left his house then yes, his 4th amendment right would be violated. But the thing is he is not forced to fly. He choses to fly there fore he makes the choice to put himself through what ever the TSA wants to do. There fore it is not a violation.

I went to get in my car this morning, and there was a guy claiming to be a TSA agent in the driveway wanting to pat me down...is that some new procedure, or did I get scammed?

My question is if this is the best security why doesn't Israel use them? I was there last May, and the levels of security start as you drive onto the airport. There is a toll-booth where they stop every car ask you a few questions etc and either let you go in or pull you over for a search, as soon as you walk into the terminal you get questioned again ie: where did you stay, any relatives in israel, do you speak hebrew. then they send you to a security line. there my wife got asked the same questions, as he already knew my answers and he compaired hers to mine, all luggage is x-rayed and looked at in two locations so nothing is missed, then once heading to the gate the metal dectector you don't have to remove your shoes, as the screener said "thats only in America" ......

Honestly, I have to be more careful of radiation then anybody. I have a disease in my intestine called crohns disease. I have to get CT scans done now and again. But I can't ever get mor ethen 7 in my life. If I do my chances of radation poisoning go way up.

For what its worth.... this guy/these guys don't think the radiation is safe... I am inclined to entertain the idea it is not safe.... though I suppose "safe" is a relative term.

Its only a matter of time now... TSA and other FED scanners for schools, sporting events, malls, trains, buses, etc... at some point not too far away though, I imagine the Fed Govt will realize it is broke and that may or may not be the end to some of this "security"...

Clearly the direction we need to head in.
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...

LOL I love how the pax didn't even need to bring their own guns and that the FAs would hand them out and collect them when done.

Amid all the terrible news from Japan, this news was released this week:

The technicians put the decimal point in the wrong spot or forgot to put a decimal point when they wrote it down on the survey form. I have been there when they were tested and seen the reading directly from the Geiger counter. All have been well low and below the recommended thresholds. TSA is retesting them because if they didn't everyone would complain anyway.
