    JFK 11/11

Had a off day from work today, and decided to do a little spotting. I was hoping to catch the Finnair A340, but she got delayed and then they shifted from 31s to the 4s. By then the light would have been terrible and Bayswater probably would have been closed. Lots of cargo arrivals and departures today........on my way to Costco, I missed Cargo Italia (MD-11 - she's on my list). Caught two UPS cargos and a DHL.

By the way, the parking lot by Panera bread was flooded, probably a water leak some where.

    Here are some from today:

Very very nice Mark. I was out for the Finnair this afternoon at Bayswater, way past the sunset. So this is a HEAVILY edited image. The original is really in the mud.

She is definitely a beaut. On Airliners.net they only have her in Helsinky and a lot out to China but never here in JFK. Has it ever been?

and a sample of the original OOC JPG

Let's just say that it was very dark out by the time she made it... 17:48 local. The sunset twilight was in my face and the dark side of the plane was, well, DARK! hence the while sky.

I believe this is a first for her here. Will try to catch her tomorrow (or her next visit) and maybe the Emirate A380 with better light conditions as well. I was debating whether or not to hit Bayswater, and I figured the light would have been ugly. She arrived even later than I thought. Tomorrow is another day!

Images you've posted look great considering the conditions.

Wow, nice! I see not only was it the A343 but the OneWorld livery also. Two birds with one stone, I guess.

Nice one Bob. I have that shot in Airfrance Colors ;-) but not yet the Emirates. I will have to get it just to have a matched set LOL

I was at JFK on the 9th for some other reason and I noticed it was around noon time so I could just wait for the A30 again in much better light
