Saw AFR A388 yesterday at 13,000 feet !
I was sunbathing yesterday at Coney at 1558 local, when suddenly heard a slight engine roar. Right above my head I saw a large 4-engined aircraft heading due south. I spotted this without binoculars and had cataract surgery on both eyes in the past. The visibility was almost unlimited and JFK was using the 31's. Anyway, I checked Passur when I returned home and it was indeed AFR 6, the A388. Incidentally, the sun's rays are still strong even in mid-October.
