Memories from JFK, EWR, LGA and many more

    Hi all,

As my first official post, here are some links to the days when we didn't have to go miles away to enjoy our hobby. I hope you enjoy seeing them and that they bring back some memories.

You sir, are my new hero. I have commented on many of your shots. Growing up there was the absolute greatest. Why I did not do the same as you and grab a camera, I'll never know.

I remember many of these a/c and liveries, watching them shoot approaches to 31R during recess at #1 School on Central Ave in Lawrence, and wondering why I was the only kid looking up. Feeling my desk shake at Lawrence High School as Concorde would hit the afterburners on departure. Or 31L approaches from my backyard, from which I saw many LOT Il-62's. I vividly remember the first time I saw the Pan Am "Billboard" livery and going "what the heck did they do to that plane???"

As they say, "thanks for the memories". As to any other shots you may have, post 'em if you got 'em.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate your comments. I drove my parents crazy then any time we came with range of an airport to take me there. The Worldport roof was the best as was the IAB and the old Eastern terminal observation decks and when you could actually walk all around the terminal areas of JFK.

Oh my word! You sir have captured things I forgot existed. Carnival! Delta black nose, KLM A310's TWA! Sensory overload!
Southwest Airlines-"Once it pop's it's time to stop" Southwest Airlines-"Our Shamu's are almost real" Southwest Airlines -"We blow our top real easy" Southwest Airlines- "You can't top us..... really"
