Don't forget that LGA Kid's Day is that same weekend. Do any VIP's land at LGA? Maybe we would could spot some? Probably the PA will again close Rwy 4/22 since it's so close to where Kid's Day is held.

    Thanks Phil

It almost sounds like I need to take the week off to catch some of the traffic coming through. I guess you don't know if there is any specific day it might be heavier in volume of UN traffic.
When does the UN Session actually kick into action? And do you have any forecast for the upcoming weather? I'd hate to come down if its raining! LOL, thanks B77WYYZ.

Kids Day is the 25th which may coincide with some UN departures, but they are less predictable. The UN arrivals tend to show up closer together and will start this weekend, mostly on the 18th and 19th.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

And right now, the forecast is for very good weather Saturday and Sunday - mostly sunny, and temps in the mid to upper 70s.

I was hoping you'd say that- I was planning to do nothing but this weekend. The friendly chap in the green '98 Civic will be me.

This would be my first UN week outing, the only time that I appreciate the presence of politicians.

Hi, all. I presume it is safe to assume that updates will be posted here? I hope to make it out this weekend as the forecast looks great and I have never been out for VIP week. However, I can only be free EITHER this weekend or next. Which would allow for more VIP catches??? This weekend, I can be out Saturday until about 3 and Sunday all day.

Thanks, all. Looking forward to meeting some new people. I'll be the guy with the black Ford Focus and the Canon gear.

You should see more this weekend - everyone will be arriving for the General Assembly session next week, and they tend to come in over the course of a few days. Obviously they will all depart again, but it is usually a little more spread out, as some leaders may spend more or less time in NYC, or may make other stops (DC, etc.) while they are in the US.

I saw two today. No Pictures though. :(

One looked to be an a319, could not make out the gov't as I was sitting in traffic on Peninsula blvd and the other was the Kuwait A310.

Both the Kuwait Gov't A319CJ and A310 have arrived into JFK today. The A319CJ was ferried to KHPN while the A310 went to KSWF.

Exciting. NOt sure if I will head on on Sat. Sunday is a 50.50 toss. Might take the family out OR head to greenport.

Either way, look forward to the pics. Looks like there is great weather abound! What runways can we predict would be used?

I had a great time with my son last year. Spent the entire day out at Bayswater with him by the water, kicking a soccer ball around and taking photos. Good times together.
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

It looks like there's a private A319 enroute to JFK from Stansted with an ETA of 1130am this morning, which then has a flight plan filed to go right to Westchester after the drop-off.

The "airline" listed is Daimler Chrysler, which means it's probably A319CJ D-ADNA. Go get her!

There actually might be two planes from Daimler. I think they only have one A319, but two of them are showing up as that type. Maybe one is an error and it's their Global Express? Hmmmm.
