Eastern DC-7 N836D Arrives at TEB

The DC-7 arrived at TEB this afternoon from YIP and will start flying tomorrow for I believe $300 for an hour flight.

Looks like she's been burning quite a bit of oil

And leaking it as well, this is maybe 5 minutes after shut down. One of the first things the crew did was put down speedy dry under the engines, now I see why.

I wish I could see her.... Thank you for posting!
The three most common expressions in aviation are, "Why is it doing that?", "Where are we?" and "Oh Crap".

Radials don't leak, they mark their territory!

Great shots, Bill, thanks for passing them along!

Great shots and a great aircraft. Ggrowing up an "Eastern kid" I flew in the DC-7B 3 times beginning in 1961 BHM-ATL. The decals are a little off. For instance the circle on the nose containing the red falcon is way too big. But who cares!

I saw the bird running down Long Island towards the east (i think) at about 1000 foot, typically i didnt have my camera as it was raining.
It's made my trip so far as i've not had the chance to get anyway

i must say she looked better in the air, saw her overhead my tower as well as the FAA's at LGA today. simply beautiful!
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
