White Pelican Spotted in Jamaica Bay

Some birders have spotted an American White Pelican hanging out in Jamaica Bay, near the wildlife refuge (and the HoBe planespotting location).

From what I hear, no one has ever seen a pelican round these parts.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

Sure it doesn't taste like Skydrol Moose? After all, it is Jamaica Bay...
