Something to Look out for at JFK...

Keep an eye out for EC-LEV, the newest A340-600 in the Iberia fleet, sporting "Cammpeones" titles!

I spotted the Iberia A343 yesterday from Coney Island while bathing but had no binoculars. It was making a rare arrival using VOR 13L. Does the "World Cup" Jet come to JFK? Great shots of the Championship logo. I notice how this aircraft was being viewed by the public unlike at JFK where the public has no such access to photograph aircraft. Even if "LEV" comes to JFK, it would be hidden in the back of Terminal 7 for nobody but ramp workers to see. Only those spotters out in the field could even view it. Remember that the Airbus with the FIFA Logo is an A340-600 while the Iberia that comes into JFK is either the A340-300 or the quad-engine A340-600. If you see only 2 engines, it's not the "World Cup" aircraft.

I just arrived in Madrid a few hours ago... Definitely planning on joining the rest of the country in celebration for the next week! I was welcomed by EC-LEV herself as she departed runway 15R.

???? Please clarify...the A340-300 is a four engine jet. Which twin engine aircraft are you referring to?

The Iberia into JFK is now the 600 version so it could be the "World Cup" jet. Be on the look-out for the lovely Swissair "Power Flower" jet. I saw it at JFK yesterday. It is very colorful. Also, I saw the Jet Blue 10th Anniversary A320 as well as the Turkish Airlines B777 in the "FC Barcelona" livery.

One would think after the country winning the world cup, Iberia would come up with a bigger sticker or at least something that looks at least halfway interesting.
This is one I wouldn't mind missing ..zzzzzzzzzzz

Aerolineas Argentinas, Varig, Korean, Turkish, etc all have done way more interesting, real themed aircraft for the world cup.

Both EC-IOB and EC-KZI are also sporting a decal for the national team:

I saw a China Eastern aircraft, B-6055 with a colorful livery for the Shanghai Expo. Does anybody know if all their aircraft have the new livery or just this aircraft? It usually arrives around 1500 at JFK.
