Some of those listed bring widebody twins also.

Long haul airlines bringing only twinjets to JFK. Might be forgetting 1 or 2

    Eurofly
    Turkish
    Air India
    Kuwait
    Lot
    Uzbekistan
    Aeroflot
    Aerosvit
    TAM
    Aerogal
    Egyptair
    PIA
    Aer Lingus
    Qatar
    Emirates
    Royal Air Maroc
    Air Europa
    ANA
    Austrian

Open competition on this Qantas' most profitable operating route would kill them dead!

Several overseas carriers including Singapore Airlines have applied to the Australian Govt in the past seeking operating approval, only to be rejected to "look after Qantas" best interests.

Bring on the competition & 'open the skies' to the route & stop protecting Qantas from real competition that they know would really hurt their bottom line.

    My 50c worth anyway!

See how the A332 looks kinda of pregnant? "She" mated with the 773 and had to name their ugly child 777-400.

ps: I think I forgot LAN..

I cant stand seeing a A330 in palce of a 744. especally wunala. In terms of pax, when they announced the swap I was still working out of T7 and they were only getting roughly 110 pax a day. Now true this was the slow part of the year but only 110 on a 744!? Thats not good. Even towards my last few weeks at T7 the planes were comming in pretty empty. Cargo wise too. There was barely anything on the plane inbound. If you want to know the worse it got, one day there were only 98 pax o/b with full cargo. A few days before I left T7 to head to EIA there were close to 175 pax with only 1-2 pcs of cargo inbound.

Not surprising then, we have an A330, rather than an A380, replacing the 747 into JFK...
