End of Qantas B744 at JFK?

I saw the Qantas B744 yesterday at JFK and my friend said this service will be ended this week. Is this correct? I also saw an American jet with a pink ribbon livery going up the tail and a Jet Blue with Yahoo lettering on the fuselage. What is that about? Now that Rwy 31L/13R has re-opened, they're back to their old routine. They use the 22's all morning then use the 13's for the afternoon with 22L as the overflow then return at 1700 to the 22's and use both 22R and 31L for departures.

Was announced several months ago...and discussed extensively on the forum: http://www.nycaviation.com/forum/vie...hp?f=9&t=18818

That is a breast cancer awareness scheme. They have a total of eight aircraft marked with ribbons. Those have been around for a while as well...

They also have a 757 with a yellow ribbon in support of US troops.

I happened to see her by sheer luck while I was heading out to the Island yesterday afternoon, didn't realize it was the last one. :(
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9
