    CESSNA DOWN AT ROBERT MOSES

Just saw it on News 12.

Chopper 12 is on scene & broadcasting if you have cablevision.

What looks like a Centurion is down right by the boardwalk at Robert Moses, Field 5. Plane looks intact, (minus the landing gear) so lets hope there are no injuries.

WABC Chopper on scene reports Cessna came down between parking area and boardwalk. FRG Tower told WABC Chopper they believe the plane came from their airport. No injuries reported.

Interesting, Newsday reporting plane originated from Maryland and was heading to Gabretski.
Also interesting that NCPD Air Bureau was quickly on scene and medevaced pilot to NUMC though Robert Moses
out in Suffolk. Maybe they were airborne and close by and picked up the MayDay/Call?

The three most common expressions in aviation are, "Why is it doing that?", "Where are we?" and "Oh Crap".

Fred, I need to get you emergency lights for your car. You always seem to be able to get into the right place at the right time!

    Once again, well done!
