    Bayswater 6/18 review (15 pics)

I arrived at Bayswater early in the morning to catch my first DC-8 but was upset to see the gate padlocked. A neighbor informed me the park opens at 7AM now so I waited in the car impatiently missing South African and the DC-8. Later the gate was unlocked and I headed to the shore.
    Here are today's captures:

Finally caught both of these guys:

You got some great aircraft there. Aside from that, you photo QUALITY is outstanding! Very crisp and well-exposed. Good job!!

Fantastic capture of the FedEx 727. Thanks on the opening time for the gate to Bayswater Park. I guess so much for the opening a dawn and closing at dusk.

Was the park employee on time to open the gate? Great work btw, I got a FE 727 at SAN and was happy to see a 727 airborne and not in a boneyard

Luke great catches, wow! I would love to get photos of alot of those aircraft, especially the 727 and Emirates Sky Cargo. How often does that even come to Kennedy? What time did you get all of those shots? Was it right after 7 or a few hours after? Also, Phil is right on, the quality of your shots is solid. Good work!

Nick, the park employee opened the gate a few minutes before 7AM. I wish the park still opened at dawn though.

Sergio and Brian, thanks for the nice comments. The FedEx 727 flies into JFK on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays for an ETA of 8AM. It departs from Memphis, drops off some cargo at Harrisburg, then it flies to JFK. For the Emirates SkyCargo operated by Atlas Air, its really a hit or miss on this one. I never expected it because I didn't check the scheduled departures before I left. For cargo operators such as CargoItalia, Lufthansa Cargo, Saudi Arabian Cargo, Atlas, and Evergreen, there really is no set schedule like we see from FedEx or UPS on a daily basis.

Wow, those are nice shots. Since I have Monday off, maybe I'll try stopping by there tomorrow or next week and try it out. Is any time of the day good? I've never been there before, so it appears the only parking is on the street. Guess the neighbors are cool. What's the last one (white one)?

George, mornings are going to be better for Bayswater, you will have the sun behind you for Rwy 4/22 operations. And yes, you have to park on the street near the park entrance, but I've never had any problems with that, it is a decent residential neighborhood. And that last 747 is a Kalitta Air freighter.
