    U.S. Recognizes Long Island Tribe

    ALBANY — The Obama administration approved the Shinnecock Indians on Long Island for federal recognition on Tuesday, culminating a court battle lasting three decades and paving the way for the tribe to build a casino in New York City or its suburbs.

    Perhaps 30 years ago there might have been a few "true" Shinnecoks left but today...I'd wager they're isn't one.

    Tommy is right, What is left of this tribe is doing this for the sake of the casino only and could benefit many though.

    Maybe we'll get a casino in Bayswater Park.
    Spotters have been Homeland Security before HS was a glimmer in the president's eye.
