I haven't been around these parts in a while. I missed the air show, and haven't seen the few people I know off this site in quite some time. So, to make amends, I'll post a bunch of random photos I've taken over the past few months. Enjoy!

Superb work, Dan! Thanks for sharing them. I really like the first shot - perfect subject for the B&W treatment.

Wonderful collection and variety of images.
Nice photos!
I can see from your night shots that you are at RPI. I'm an alum.
Nice job on AF1. I wish that I could have escaped work to go catch that one too.
Great work Dan. Nice to see you back!
Dan,
Where did you take AF1?
George
Thanks guys!
SmAlbany - Well, I guess I'm an alum now too. Just graduated a week ago with a BS in Aero/Mech Engineering, still looking for employment, hence the reason for all my free time now...
George - The AF1 shot was taken at Albany, when Obama came in briefly to speak at Hudson Valley Community College about the importance of community colleges and technology and health care and whatnot.

Some lovely shots there Dan.
Question, where did you take the DOWT pic (Thomas?) Whats the name of the RR running it? That is something I plan to do soon. Also, are all the other rail pics from the Rochester area?
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

That particular Day Out With Thomas was at the Upper Hudson River Railroad, about an hour north of the Capitol Region. There area a few of those replicas that tour the various tourist railroads across the country. The rest of the railroad pics were in the Albany area.
