    I passed by Republic around 1:30PM just in time to see the C-47 taking off before I could get my camera out the window. However a few minutes later I caught this T-6 taking off;

    I went to FRG today and it was pretty quiet except that the AAM pulled out a P-47 and there is a new hole in the fence.

    Yes it was. I was sitting in my beach chair eating Wendys and catching some warm sun rays in the back of the
    Sheltair parking lot for about an hour and nothing exciting in or out.
    Beautiful day though, 8)

    Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
    All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
    I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

    Thanks for the great capture of 155MM. The F/O was flying that leg and he is indeed old. I wont drop names but he is in his 70's. Excellent aviator. What are the chances of getting a copy of that photgraph?

    Interesting to note they planted that G3 just a tad early, notice he's touching down in the "overrun area" well ahead of the piano keys.
    Guess he's practicing approaches for when they update Runway 19's threshold. :lol:

    Awesome photos! Where are you taking these shots from, if I may ask? I'm still trying to figure out where at FRG I should be when the Blue Angels arrive next month. There are too many obstacles obscuring the view of the runways with the fences or walls everywhere.

    BTW, it looks like N526ER was really close to stalling in that sequence.

    it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

    It was taken from the old control tower... I had the keys and figured why not use them! ;)

    That explained why the pilot was at 80K over the threshold with 90 degrees nose down! You should have seen the approaches. Carrier pilots would have been giving a salute as he passed the old tower at eye level with no power/full flaps! It was AWESOME!
