I was by there this morning. The museum moved their planes around. The CF18 trailer was on the right side of Shelter Air. Oracle planes were up and about. Kind of seems really quiet this year. Usually a lot more action by now
I was at D&K though it's shady at the hanger ATM cause of the sun. I'll head back there now to take another look. My problem is that I can't get inside to look around. JFK I would have been in a long time ago. Anyway you will hear from me when I'm back home.
I was just over there .. with the exception of 2 things, it was very quiet.
Exception #1: It looked as if the CF-18 support team was there, however I only saw 1 member, and she happened to be a very good looking red head :D
Exception #2: They were using a car to jump start the Oracle plane
It won't be quiet for too much longer. Hopefully the CF-18 at 2:30, and then Blue #7 arrives at 5:30pm.Originally Posted by puckstopper55
They have electric signboards at the airport announcing Blue #7's arrival tonight.
Giggity-giggity!
I'm sitting at the Terminal right now. There is military traffic in the area (Marine 26), Sean D. Tucker is taxing as I type, & Chuck Aaron in the Red Bull Helo just landed.
UPDATE: Hornet 1 is the CF-18! She's here. :borat:
EVERYONE IS THERE TO SEE THE SHERPA!
CF-18 landed at approx. 2:20 pm...I had just gotten out of school so unfortunately I didn't get a chance to see it land, but I saw it fly over my house.
A quickie...go to go now getting ready for a flight.... Kenny says hi!
The three most common expressions in aviation are, "Why is it doing that?", "Where are we?" and "Oh Crap".
Great Picture Fred!! :borat:
Have a great flight!!!
Blue Angel #7 here at FRG 5:05pm!
Dang you posted that up fast! I was listening to ATC and he was "8 miles out".....45 seconds later he is over my house!Originally Posted by lijk604

You beat me to it as well!
I love listening to all of the "Know it All's" who have absolutely no clue.
Julie Clark just landed as well.

To Kenny,
So sorry to hear about the accident! I hope your mom is ok!
From the other thread:
Sorry folks, but today while I was waiting for Blue Angel #7 with the family a car hit the lip and struck my brother and aunt and hit the car and narrowly missed me. Thankfully they are both in stable condition. Because of this information on the first page may be out of date and I probably will not be able to make it back to the airport to provide people with live updates.
I would also like to thank Fred, the photographer with the camo lens( sorry I think I forgot your name), the two off duty EMT's, and all the people who called 911. I don't know what we would have done without you guys.
I would also like to thank the Dept. of Homeland Security,SCPD, and the East Farmingdale Fire Dept. for responding quickly and getting everyone to safety.
