nice shots john! especially love the tail shot of the B-17.
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

    Great shots Fred!
Realy like that shot of that P-51 low on the deck, great panning.
Do you know when the first B-17 is supposed to go up tomorrow?
I'm gonna try to make it out there to see the early flight.

<Ended up stopping by for a little bit this afternoon as the sky cleared a little, ended up hanging around the terminal parking lot rather than the museum, and caught the Boys from Brookhaven doing their thing<

I was over by the Dave & Busters parking lot watching them at the same time as they did their low and fast fly-bys for the Museum. Today at TOBAY beach
they flew past a few times.

    Re: Today at Farmingdale 2008

Was off today and was over by FRG for a few minutes having just finished an errand and heading to another when I see this beat-up looking plane taxing over to the Sheltair ramp. It was the FAA Beech 300 N81. Earlier I guess it was them doing Flight Checks at JFK that I heard on my scanner. The plane is only 20 years old but lots of wear and tear on the frame including what looked like rust behind one of the props. Oh well, our govt dollars at work.
Then as I pull out of the lot N139H comes in from the east over the cemetary and heads over to the Bravo runup pad. 139H is an AgustaWestland AB139 from Honeywell out of NJ. Had seen pix of this copter but never live. Raced over to the Atlantic ramp where they had taxied in and dropped a passenger before taxing out to Bravo then out to the SW. Nice looking copter that kinda reminds me of a smaller version of the old Westland 30.
Funny, sometimes I go to FRG and spend an hour or more and see nothing. Today I'm there for about 20 minutes and get these two arrivals. Such is the life of a spotter. :D

That what N81 was??.. i thought it was an old Army or something.. i marshaled him in and was thinking how nasty that plane looked.. I mean i dont have much love for King Airs to begin with, but they could atleast wash it!..

On top of those 2 arrivals we had a Baron come in that was from the cover of Flying Magazing!!.. with all the bells and whistles that they always boast about. def an exciting day for arrivals.. well if your not working on them!

While we were out catching the Memphis Belle depart, got a few shots of the T-28 that's over at D&K:

They kept it down low on departure for us!
