I'm heading over to FRG now. I'll post here if I see that helicopter flying around or anything else interesting.

Also Chris, I believe the AAM has their labor day event on Labor Day weekend and on Labor Day. I go ever year on Labor Day.

Lets just say that you want to be there... I know what they are trying for and if they get 1/3 of what is planned, you will be using a British Accent for a month. Lets just say that the Spitfire planned is now a minor attraction! No More info at this time can be released but I am smiling!!!!! Put in for some weekends off at work now!
Kenny is right but I never make it Labor day as YEP, I am always working! I wish I could say more

I know it's definitely on Labor Day, but it just sounded like it might last over a few weekends,
since Fred said " Put in for some weekends off at work now!" , that's all !!

Anyway, hope to see some of you over at FRG tomorrow afternoon when the bugs arrive !!

I was over by FRG today and it was pretty quiet.

I'll be there tomorrow most likely by the terminal area or the AAM.

Phred is right - if you miss Labor Day weekend at the museum, you will be sorry you did. Can't say what, but you won't be disappointed.

And don't use too much bug spray this weekend, or you will scare away those cute little airplanes.

OK now the rumor mill will start grinding.

Can you give us a hint? Is it modern or warbird?

We have had the Lancaster before, but won't mind seeing her again? You say British huh? Red Arrows? Tornado's? Spitfire Gathering?

OK my hopes and money is on a Spitfire gathering!!

But what the heck is the "Meteor"?

If I remember correctly a "Meteor" is an early British Jet Fighter.

Also is 4:00Pm still looking good for the "Bugs?"

FYI- I'm not a 100% sure, BUT the Bugs may have canceled their stop over at FRG,
because apparently they're no longer on today's schedule for Sheltair's arrivals.

Yeah. I saw Chris' post before leaving but decided to go over anywhere. Sat in the parking lot by Dave & Busters and worked on my tan. An absolutely beautiful afternoon.

Then it's a good thing they didn't show Gerard...if the 'bugs' had shown they would have landed on 14/32. US F-18's are not allowed to land on 1/19, it's too short.

On their Facebook page, the AAM is reporting a second Spitfire will be at the museum for Labor Day weekend.
