    Some EWR Stuff

This week was my first time shooting since my January trip to LAX. Mostly due to lack of anything interesting coming in but I am kicking myself for letting a few unsual visitors go for no reason. Some were from last week when we were circling to runway 29 due to strong winds and the rest today, enjoy.

This was an extremly tight base turn to final that didn't come close to working out, way to high on approach so they went around and had to make a sharp left turn because there was a dash 8 crawling off the departure end.

    Down hard on the right

And even harder on the left

I like that old continental scheme. That would look nice with the globe.

The photo of CO-757 making a hard left turn with NY skyline as the background is the best!

We have to cirlce to 29 off of the 22L ILS because of LGA's final up the river.

They pulled out of LGA but they started a daily YYC-EWR flight about two years ago.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

Don't get too excited: The spot these shots were captured from is inaccessible to mere mortals.
