    Gulf Oil Spill

Came across some high quality pictures from the Oil spill in the Gulf. While I'm not a total tree hugging freak this event really has sickened me as the ecological disaster that is happening right now is disgraceful and without excuse. I don't blame our gov't like some have for a slow response as it’s not entirely their job to clean it up. However I would like to see the President personally step in and tell BP and the company who owns the rig that they don't have 3 months to stop the flow but they have to do it now. I don’t understand how it’s going to 60 to 90 days to build a well cap. Human capital has done far greater things in far less time. This is a situation where both Public and Private knowhow must act at Godspeed to stop this from destroying the ecosystem, and the livelihood of the people who live there.

I don't agree with the right wing media trying to say Obama has reacted slowly, I think most of what he has done has been pretty bad but oin this case he hasn't dropped the ball in fact I think BP did a good job of keeping us in the dark in the first few days after the explosion and now they have a tiger by the tail. They strike me as unable or ill equipped to handle this but somebody better do something fast.
