    Here's one of my shots.

Glad I got to share the experience with so many people!!! Big thanks to Mario for the heads up! None of this would have happened without him.
Phil,I know, when I was a kid in the 60's and 70's the sheer scream from those 1st generation jets was mind blowing, now imagine that every 90 seconds from am till late night, that was life under the Canarsie approach during my carefree youth !!! what runway by the way ?
The beehive hummm of the JT9D and GE CF680C2,the thunder of the JT8D-17,the rumble of the PW1830 and the high ,thin whine of the PW 545A are all music to my ears!

    He landed on 22L.

I remember just the 80s near LGA....widebodies, DC-9s, 727s, and I know that was still nothing compared to the previous two decades.

The only good thing to come out of Iran was that 707.

    Phil,
Check out these Iranian screamers. Same Stage II sets as you heard last night.
I am sure now you can see why I am so obsessed with experiencing as many of these old schoolers as I can. Hearing those engines brings tears to my eyes :)

That was Gordon Senior, and he was very much awake and shooting when the 707 arrived.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

I went out to get the Iranian 707 again when it came back into JFK. I did manage to get some video of its arrival and also got some departure shots.
My camera's shutter button was giving me problems so it will have to go into the shop. It screwed up most of today's shots.

I will upload the vid later.
