    LGA 4/4/10

For some reason I have a history of having fun spotting days on Easter. Today was no different, and I was excited to get to spend more than 20 minutes at LGA this afternoon.

I got a new folding chair, and headed down to the marina, hoping to eventually get Trump. Not only did I bring my 20D with the 100-400mm, I borrowed Mel's 40D with her 70-200mm 2.8, which is among the most firepower I've had shooting.

Thin and thicker clouds popped up a little, but I ended up taking almost 700 shots over the few hours. An eventual runway change from Expressway Visual 31 to runway 22 for landings forced me to changed locations, where I grabbed up some sunset shots while also getting Trump.

I was pretty excited to get ExpressJet.

This is actually my favorite photo of the day.

Not sure why but I liked this one.

phil these shots are outstanding! i especially love the sunset sillhouettes....the texturing in the sky is out of this world. also the trump 727 is sexy....he used to send his helicopter into CDW to pick up who i'd assume to be high-rollers to take to AC...looks like you had a great day!

phil, nice work. i love the silhouette shots, especially the EMB-190. you're pretty lucky to get the expressjet. they fly for COA daily but rarely are not in COA colors.
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

Great grab on the ExpressJet bird. My bud Brian might have been the F/O on that bird. He's an F/O with them and he was through LGA yesterday.
