    New LGA RNAV SIDs

This may be a bit over the top of the head for most photographers here, but student and current pilots should be able to decipher what I am about to show here.

As a part of the NY/NJ/PA airspace redesign by FAA, there had been changes to the overall structure above our skies, most are not so obvious, but some are. Specifically, the next cycle of terminal procedures will have FOUR new RNAV SIDs included. Here are the links

    http://aeronav.faa.gov/d-tpp/1004/00289GLDMN.PDF
    http://aeronav.faa.gov/d-tpp/1004/00289NTHNS.PDF
    http://aeronav.faa.gov/d-tpp/1004/00289STBNZ.PDF
    http://aeronav.faa.gov/d-tpp/1004/00289TNNIS.PDF

Looks like your typical LGA2 SID, except the Whitestone climb is not depicted! Notice STBNZ1 and TNNIS1 mimics Flushing climb for both North and West departures. Most of the waypoints in the SIDs are new and therefore we don't know where exactly will the aircraft turn, AC90-100 states manual entering of RNAV waypoints are not permitted, hence there are no lat/long information in the charts.

That's not to say the non-RNAV SIDs are on the chop list, at least not in the upcoming cycles, later this year there will be similar RNAV SIDs to be published for LGA and JFK.

    Interesting,
The individual charts look like they have been split into 4 individual RNAV SIDs that came off the LGA2.LGA SID.

    Thanks for posting the info.

I am also a proud member if the Jepp brotherhood.
I also am excited about seeing the new set. The current charts expire on April 8th so it should be in the latest set.

Interesting how they have done the TNNIS for LGA - PBI has just gone through that as well - we have one departure at PBI that is all now Trump related - the new NAV beacons are TRMMP DONLD and IVNKA and the RNAV departure is the IVNKA1.IVNKA departure - didn't know the Donald was so influencial in this area!! Bring back the SURFN7 arrival now!!!

I know this is from the Simulator site www.myairplane.com, but here is the chart:

RNAV finally comes to LGA, thats excellent!

Looks like the usual climbs we know are still there for non-RNAV aircraft on the Jepp 10-3A page. Cant wait to see what RNAV will do for JFK

Here are 2 others that I have always enjoyed. My Jeppesen charts (The Best) that I shot just a few seconds ago.

Portsmouth, NH KPSM's Runway RNAV (GPS) RWY 16 approach
This one is pretty self explanatory. The three fixes are ITAWA, PUDYE, and TATT represent the different phases of this approach.

Chicago Ohare, KORD's Runway 14R CAT II, III approach (from 2002) depicting the "SEXXY" intersection at 15.3 DME. The intersection has since been renamed. The Pilots always got a kick out of it on the radios.

looking at that just reminds me of how much i dislike flying IFR... low, fast and under the radar is how i prefer to go. being anle to see where i'm going only makes it easier. bad wx days when i have to fly the tracks SUCK!
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
