I wont be available until the afternoon. Will have to see what runways are in use by that time.
no no no don't say that... they can't close Bayswater.... :((
Living The Dream...
These days, it's either 4 or 22.
Anyway I plan on heading out around noon time.
Had some free time today and headed out to Bayswater Park. Met up with some other folks from NYC (Eric, Jake and Tom). Great light this morning, but windy and cold. Below are some captures:
Jet Blue landing on 4R and Air India taking off on 31R
Enjoy!
Nice selection there. Wish we got the Japanese airlines down here in Houston!
Was out this afternoon at The Mounds. Fought a haze layer that came in during the afternoon, but I got a few keepers. Nice meeting Dennis there today, really thought there would have been more guys out. But, it was chilly, and I'm just starting to feel my fingers again.
...and what would a thread be without RATS!
Nice shots guys!!!

Nice shots.
Is that really a rat? Looks like a groundhog.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9
Wow looks like a trip 7 fest. Very nice though! Wish SEA would get some more trip 7's

Met up with John (sorry, I remember calling you Mike a few times, not sure why I did that  ) at the mounds.
Right after the A380 arrived the Delta Skyteam 757 followed, I didn't get any shot because it was too damn cold to stay.
Highlights of the day:
"Real Blue"
Old Alitalia
No Wunala today
Air Berlin did a go around right at decision height because the tower canceled the landing clearance and forgot to reissue one.
Dirty A380!
I though it might have been a groundhog too, but it had the typical rat tail. Long, thin with little to no hair.Originally Posted by GothamSpotter

That one's a groundhog, but there are some New York City rats that get to be about that size!
(Some of the ones in Washington, too, but they usually have "The Honorable..." before their names)
On a more serious question; with 13R/31L out of commission, do they ever set up arrivals on intersecting runways, or is it typically arriving on the 4/22 pair and departing off of 13L/31R?
