Russian bombers 'intercepted in British airspace'

    http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/europe...ex.html?hpt=T2

London, England (CNN) -- Rare photos of Russian strategic bomber jets purportedly intercepted in British airspace show Moscow's war machine is becoming increasingly bold, analysts said Thursday as Russia denied any territorial violations.

Would be pretty amazing to see a Bear declare an emergency off the coast and get escorted into JFK wouldn't it?

I would not be totally shocked if it happened. One of my bosses claims to have seen one out there over the North Atlantic last fall dinking off around there while they were going across the pond to London with the G550.

They've been escorted a number of times approaching Alaska in the past couple years, wouldn't be surprised if it happened even more often than is reported. I don't see why they wouldn't fly across the Atlantic, too.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

Not wishing to be "older" but one of the benefits might've been to see the civil version at JFK once upon a time...

Has JFK not always been great?

    The -114 is a pax version of the -95? I thought the -95 was a high-wing model.

The -114 used the wing, engines, tail and landing gear of the -95, but on a redesigned, larger fuselage.
