    Michael Savage: Palin is Unelectable

In a mostly overlooked radio broadcast from late last week, mega-popular conservative host Michael Savage railed against conservatives supporting Sarah Palin for president in 2012. “I know more about it than the stupid Republican party does,” he explained. “If they run Palin, it’s over; Obama will be a two term-er,” said Savage. “She’s not electable as president. She’s not the right person — we need a business man.”

“Are you crazy? Are you out of your damn minds?” Savage asked at the suggestion that he keep quiet about Palin lest he alienate his base of listeners. “She reminds me of a country western singer,” he said, admitting her heart is in the right place, but reiterating that she is unqualified. “She’s like Dolly Parton in her early days,” Savage insisted. “Please don’t do this to us!” he begged. “Don’t Obama-cize these guys,” he continued, referring to both Palin and the recent upstart Scott Brown. “It’s too early.”

I sometime listen to him out west when he is on in the evenings, he is an idiot though.

I think Savage is over the top sometimes, but I think he hit the nail on the head, though he insulted Dolly Parton in the process. (I think Dolly is smarter than Sarah).

Sarah Palin is a brilliant marketer, and nothing more. She is fantastic at re-iterating Conservative talking points from her own point of view, but when asked real-world questions, she falters miserably. Similarly, Obama is also a great marketer, and he's very intelligent, but he's just an awful manager.

Sarah Palin will never throw her name in the hat, & if she did, many Republicans would not vote for her.

Only in the Democrat party can somebody run for President who simply do not have enough experience, when she gave up her Governor's job, she lost any chance of running for President.

Senator John Edwards & then, Senator Barack Obama are good examples of people who were inexperienced.

Mike didn't the last election teach you anything? If we weren't in the middle of the worst economy and left wing media attack on Bush would any Dem vote for Obama? With the fact that Romney's religion will ultimately prevent him from becoming the next president. Unless Newt gains some momentum right now it's her though Scott Brown's stock is rising fast and I think he should be watched.

I'm not aware of any on the GOP side.

If Obama's approval numbers don't turn around soon, I would not be surprised to see Hillary resign as Secretary of State in a few months and make a run.

Of course McCain used him. It's a campaign you moron. Every politician uses everyone and everything at his disposal to be first on race day. This guy started out good but now needs to leave and stop talking.

Michael Savage is a bigot, a homophobe and and out and out a-hole. But, he is not an idiot. Far from it. He's probably the only right-wing talk show host I respect because he tells it like it is when it concerns strategy and the reality that is happening with the GOP and their base. Every other personality will give you rose colored glasses until there's a loss. Even then they stick with towing the line.
