There is a new App called Plane Spotter. It does a N number lookup.

You should experience TeamViewer on the iPad... you'd never want to go in to the office. I have done entire meetings from my car while spotting at Panera via iPad/TeamViewer :-) shhhh, don't tell anyone!

Yep Teamviewer on the PC to Pc is not bad either. I have fixed my mothers pc in Arizona from my Desktop and iPhone. The iPad is about the same as doing PC to pc. Fun stuff!!! It is also good when my son is having an issue with his laptop and I need to setup say a printer and I am to lazy to get up to walk into the other room.

Here is a program I have been using to track my fuel usage called Gas Cubby... it is quick and easy to use.

You can see my mileage go down as my stress goes up

    The Photographer's Ephemeris

This is a great way to position yourself for a long distance shot of an object and predict where the moon or sun will rise or set. I posted a few screen shots to show how it uses the map to draw lines to show the direction of sunrise/sunset.

Here zoomed out you can see the position that I decided to be in that intersects the moon rise..... I changed the day on the right for about 5 days until the moon behind the lighthouse converged with the parking lot I wanted to be in for the long distance shot (I wanted the moon to be big!)

    close up view of lighthouse

    even closer

closeup of where I want to be...

Here is a VIDEO I made of this mornings adventure
    http://www.longislandwallpapers.com/...275_EKbNx-L-LB

Here was the shot that I took this morning at 4:10am

Here is a better shot when I was not concerned about a moon shot and was only worried about quality...different day

    Bumping this thread up again.
Need a GPS unit? A free one with turn by turn directions? Download WAZE - GPS

"Waze is a free social mobile app that enables drivers to build and use live maps, real-time traffic updates and turn-by-turn navigation for an optimal commute.
100% powered by users the more you drive the better it gets."

I've been using it for about a month now, and it has been spot on. Always looks for the best route based on feedback from its users. The more that use it the better it is.
Some of the nice things on the map that you and others can report and then others are made aware of...traffic, red light cameras, police (hidden or visible), construction or accidents.

It's no Garmin, but, it was free and suits my needs very well.

Thanks. I'll look at it now. I try to use the conventional gps still but this app appears better than the others I've use thus far
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.
