Finally, a Cessna worth taking pics of!

I'm not a huge fan of GA but tonight turned my perspective around!

I was picking up a gift at Stew Leonards near FRG. Purposely took New Highway home and some beacon lights caught my eye. Just a white Cessna, I thought.

As I got closer, I noted a large dark 'ribbon-like' scheme on it. Off the top of my head, it reminded me of ELAL. I shot through the 3rd airport parking entrance and drove back to find the aircraft pulling out onto the taxiway.

The registration was N6493Y and sure enough, this guy had it dressed up in El AL colors, right down to the Star of David on the rudder. Classic!! Looks so smart that I thought (for a nanosecond) that perhaps El Al might own the thing. The only thing missing was the EL AL lettering. I wonder if the absence of those letters keeps him below ELAL's radar.

I guess I never paid attention to it. Nice! I wonder how often other GA aircraft try to mimic the paint schemes of other airlines.

That's been based over at SheltAir forever. I haven't been able to get a good shot of it yet, but hope to one of these days. This is the best I've been able to do so far...

Cheeky! First thing I'm doing to my plane is giving it an airline livery, when I can afford one.

I slammed on the brakes on New Highway earlier this summer when I saw her parked up against the fence. Shes sharp looking.

OMG, Ryan, that was exacty what I did. I was just driving past the airport after picking up brandy from Stew leonards.. The beacon caught my eye and "I taut I saw ribbons".

I did! I did see ribbons!

Slammed on the brakes to catch the last parking lot entrance and drove up to her. Very cool

mario are you a United fan?

    note the "treetops."
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

Stateside Service vice Worldwide Service, too. Very clever. Wonder where he was departing from that he needed flaps in a hot-rod like an RV- whatever that is. Does he even have the engine swirly on the spinner?

I like that Skipper, too. Now I'll just have to go back to Petah Tikva to scratch that one off :>

Aren't the Barons at the LH flight school somewhere in the southwest painted in Lufti c/s?

Yes they are painted in Lufti colors. There are also some KLM birds too. Down in Florida based someplace around Orlando there is also a SR22 with an AirTran tail on it. It is owned by one of AirTran's executives. I fueled it at SRQ in early 2005 or so.
