I noticed an all white 757 turning final to 31, ended up being N757SS, the Texas Rangers 757 making it's once or twice a year visit.

    http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N757SS

They play the Yankee's the next 3 days, the final game in the series is Sunday at 1300 so they will probably depart LGA between 1730-1830 Sunday.

Also about half an hour prior the AirTran Atlanta Falcons 717 paid a visit.

    Cheers

Saw AirTran's Orlando Magic special scheme in the queue for a Runway 4 departure.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.

    2000L

AirTran Baltimore Ravens 717 and Frontier's 319 N939FR with the 3 Penguins on the tail, my first sighting of this one.

N128DL, the 767-300 that went tech yesterday afternoon spent the whole day on Delta's Gate 2. It was observed a few hours ago with both engine cowlings removed and sitting on the ramp.

My first sighting at LGA of a Dash 8-Q400 when N721AL departed 31 for parts unknown. Did a little research, is registered to Aerographics of Manassas, Virginia, a suburb of Washington DC. I think it may be a govt operation as it was blocked on Passur, you never see private or corporate aircraft blocked on our work version. Also in one of the 2 photos on a.net it mentiones the aircraft parked at the National Guard base. It appearantly really gets around as it's 2 a.net photo's are from Seattle and San Juan PR. The only flightaware entry shows a recent nonstop from FLL to Manassas, pretty impressive for a Dash 8 !

    1800

AirTran's Indy Colts schemed 717 departed 31 for ATL.

My first sighting of CO's fairly new echo-skies 738. Boy those bright green winglets really stand out.

    1740L

AirTran's Indy Colt 717 departed 31 for ATL

    1600L-1620L

Today during the above 20 mins would have been an awesome time to be at the Marina shooting Runway 31 arrivals.

Frontiers Brand new A-320 N207FR (Bison tail) arrived, no shots yet on a.net or JP

Republic's single E-190 N173HQ in a while generic scheme with Blue tail with Republic star logo shortly followed, even though been in
service around a month also no photo's on a.net or JP.

But first was this months highlight, and probably one of the top 5 of the year.

727-191 J2-KBA of the Djibouti Government (their Presidential Aircraft). For those like me not familiar with Djibouti it is a former French colony located between Somalia and Ethiopia. I did not see it in time for landing shots but did get a few so-so shots from the employee lot. Will post in a few days. Appeared to be only staying a few hours, Beautiful 3 holer !

    Cheers
