US Airways scheduling issue with Crews

US Airways WEST is having a lot of F/A's engage in a sick out which has resulted in cancellation of over 30 flights out of PHX.

STL for two days straight has had all US Airways mainline flights cancel to PHX and CLT.

SWA has been receiving a bunch of these passengers affected by the sick outs, US Airways has been paying us for the tickets and sending the paxs over.

The reason US Airways posts for the cancelled flights are Canceled
XEC-FLIGHT CANCELED DUE TO A PRIOR CREW RELATED ISSUE

On East side I am being told that Pilot and their work hours are coming to an end and they are facing delays more than canceled flights.

Hope this gets worked out soon!

As far as the east pilots go the crews are flying to their annual max. It creates legality issues. This should be in itself good enough reason to start calling back furloughs because as much as Doug and Scott enjoy lining their pockets with cash, playing golf, getting hammered and driving their BMW's around there are better things money needs to go to. Things like more reserve line which would require callback etc. As far as the westies on the dull side of the door go. They are fed up with the labor practices instated by USAirways in their contract but most are so short sighted and selfish that they can't organize when it counts to make a change for the good. You will see many more issues like this with USAirways in the near future. The next major issue with US (If they exist in current form than) will be in about 18 months or so when the IAM contracts come up. IAM members are fed up with the constant excuses, overworking and general games US had been playing dating back to the Stephen Wolfe era. There will be big waves to jump for US management when this time comes to frutition. If management does not get with the program the company is going to financially and operationally burn to the ground sooner than later. As sad as it would be to see my former employer dissapear I support all work groups in standing for themselves even if it means taking USAirways to the creditors. 50 dollar hat tricks once a quarter for performance are a slap in the face to all work groups. It's taxed to the point where an hour or two of over time is worth more than their "token".

This stuff is starting to bite Parker & Kirby in their collective arses & imo will only get worse.
