    Wow...tough question.

I think my hands down favorite aviation related photo of the year is this one from a few days ago:

If we're going with jp.net/a.net type shots only...I'd say these five rank pretty high up there:

    And the runner's up:

It was a full year, too many to choose from, so I'll bend the rules and give you my Top 10 List from 2009:

#10 - After eluding me for so long, I finally caught Cathay's "Asia's World City" in great light blasting off of 13R.

#9 - So many great memories, thanks to the great people at the American Airpower Museum.

    #8 - Just a cool shot!

#7 - Lift off on a foggy morning.

    #6 - A haunting image.

#5 - Seeing Chris Baranaskas return to the show circuit brought a smile to many of us.

#4 - The USAF Thunderbirds make an unforgettable arrival at FRG for the air show.

    #3 - Day is done.

#2 - Ultimately, it's not about the airplanes, it's about the friends we make along the way. Fred, we always have the best adventures!

#1 - The year started out with a bang! I think I still haven't warmed up from that day on the river shooting these!

This one isn't from 2009, but no collection of shots from this year would be complete without remembering our dear friend, Bob Baranaskas.

Jes I have so many from being on the ramp I need more then 5.
    15. AA Mad Dog MD-82 half a second from touchdown.

    14. Quantas 747. As I call her the red devil cause of her unmatched beauty.

    13. "Asia's World City"

    12. A LD-3 on my back from 15ft in the air. Not what I had in mind for a catch.

    11. Sadly this cant make the top 10 cause of the weather and cut off but Dreamlifter.

    10. In at 10 is Cathay 773 B-PKL. 1st flight to the states and a brand new plane.

    9. And in at 9 is this dynamic shot of a Fed Ex DC-10. Behind it is another DC-10.

    8. A Fed Ex 3 holer.

    7. Open Skies 757 with both cowlings open. Rejected by jetphoto's.

    6. Nice shot of this beauty. A DC-9-51.

    5. Top 5 of the year. DHL DC-8 looking gorgeous in the sunlight on a cold december day.

    4. This shot of this AA MD-82 looks so retro despite being one of my most recent captures.

    3. And kicking off the top 3 is Peter.

    2. What a find and what a shot! A beautiful DC-9-31 in NWA colors.

    1. And impossible to top. The hardest and riskiest shot I ever took.
