Not bad Nick! I still don't have a shot of the Delta 777LR myself. Jealous!

I have better shots as those were the 1st few I shot. its really hard catching planes going over 150mph. You litterally have half a second to catch before it leaves your lense. Most of these I actually had to follow the plane and snap in order to even have a shot. Skipping ahead 5 days now.

ok I lied this is my 2nd attempt ^^^

    Delta 767

    I love this scheme
and the rest are bad shots taxying for that day

This is now the 21st of oct and the 1st day of good weather in awhile. They only use 13L-31R when the weather is good or if they have to cause of wind.

Panning is the key to your success! - well it's one of them anyways. If you haven't started tracking and panning, I highly recommend it. You won't have to worry about that split second because you can keep it in your sights for several seconds, getting a few different shots along the way. Even in good light with relatively high shutter speeds (320, 500, even 1000+ depending on how fast the subject is moving) you can need some degree of it. I look forward to more of your stuff, you've got quite some access to work with!

Yea but my shutter has a delay unfortionitly. 2sec delay without flash. I have to follow the plane which causes blur in the background. With the flash its a whole 30sec. Its horrible. I've missed several good shots because of it. Yea I have good access but I am really restricted on the kind of camera I can use. It has to be slim enough to fit into my pocket and not be noticed as well as the same for when i'm out shooting. I'm currently using a middle way camera. It isnt low end nor high end or anything as good as what you guys use. I use a Canon Powershot A1100IS. It works but sadly these delays are getting me good and I cant find a way to get rid of them. One day if i get enough i'll get a high end in this category but untill then I have this.

    2sec delay without flash
The two second delay sounds like the self-timer mode, which can be set at 2sec and 10sec delay – as I’m sure you know. I read up on the shutter lag for that particular model and it seems like, without flash, the average lag is about 1/35 of a second. I’d say that, unless the self-timer was accidently left on (I’ve done it many times), there’s something wrong with the camera and I’d send it to canon if it were still under warranty. If it’s any consolation, my 40D was experiencing some shutter lag during my outing on Sunday. Either that or it just wasn’t firing period. And of course it was during the 787 and the T38…never for the GA or biz jets. :-D

Heh well thats just rotten luck. Yea i've been browsing through the options on the camera and I dont have the self timer on. This is a camera delay that I cant find an option to get rid of.
