I'll stick around by AAM. i'll probably be on top of my car. By AAM is that a good area to catch them landing?Originally Posted by Fighting_falcon_51
Here are a couple from Republic. Also, sorry the hear about the accident. I saw all the commotion from the terminal side, but it was difficult to see what had happened. Hope everyone recovers quickly.
Hey Guys-- Caught the 7 today
Beautiful Jet!
Kenny, sorry to hear about the accident, glad everyone is going to recover.
Fred K - I was on the other side of the Rwy when the CF-18 arrived, then headed to the parkway and off to work. I passed a guy standing on the roof of his truck on that side, I assume that was you. Nice catch!
KC-135 - Passing gas & taking names!

Falcon, glad to hear that things fared OK for you.
I ran into Kenny twice uyesterday, (as I was doing Home Dopey runs all day) and I did see the Cf18 at a distance.
Came to Home Dopey again (and nearly ran over Kenny...) and the CF18 was out and about.
Took my son to see the 530 Blue 7 arrival. She got there 15 min early so we missed it.
Anyhoo, what time are the Blues slated to go op today?
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

They're Here...
Just heard the Blue Angels from my Office in Copiague approx 9:25a. When I went out side I saw 2 Making Sharp Banking Turns in the the area around the Airport. Im A few Miles to the south of FRG. Now Listening to Traffic on Audio Steam on my office Computer. Thanks W2LIE.
Heading over to FRG at Lunch to maybe See some Activity. Does anyone Know aprox time for Any Blue Angel or CF-18 Departure Take-offs Today for Media or Rehearsals
Falcon Wishing Everybody the best and a Speedy Recovery.
Blue Angels came in at 930am. I think one had an instrument problem. Walked back to my car to grab a drink and missed Fat Albert.

The team needed some time with the arresting cable, plus a private jet couldn't wait.... (listening to the tower)
I saw them land then had to rush off for another non-plane shoot....
And some kid rear ends me getting on the the SSP at 109 !!! Good thing I was in the Rover and he hit the bumper.
So we have at least 2 hits (maybe it's me).... be careful !
lou
Sitting on New Highway and a van drove off the highway and just missed the car in front of me. The tower just advised all aircraft that numerous air show related flights are going up shortly

WOW... seriously... who has jurisdiction over there? I think we need to keep a few NCPD or NYSP over there just for safety's sake! I normally don't recommend law enforcement in spotting locations but this is just getting out of hand...
