“The problem with socialism is that you eventually,
run out of other people’s money.” - Margaret Thatcher
Now that is TRASHED right there!!!
The three most common expressions in aviation are, "Why is it doing that?", "Where are we?" and "Oh Crap".
Wow! How stupid can someone get? As a locomotive engineer, I can tell you it's not pleasant running over somebody, especially when it's a young kid playing chicken to a 12000 ton freight train which can take two miles to stop. Looks like the motorman on that subway stopped the train at just the right time. That woman is definitely lucky and should be very thankful to the driver of that train!
It's common on the railroad that we don't put the train in emergency for pedestrian or animals because of the high risk of derailing and putting the public at high risk. We only put the train in emergency for things that are capable of derailing the train such as vehicles. I cannot say if the train was put in emergency, but by doing so, he/she risked injuring the passengers on the train and possibly endangering waiting passengers at the station. A very tough situation to be in!
It looks as if the lady learned what the third rail is used for ;)

She fell over again after getting back up.
What a lucky woman.
This happened in Boston a couple days ago. Today the train operator was given a medal or something.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9
