San Jose Sharks 727-200 & Contract Air Cargo 727-100 EWR PIX

Went to EWR this morning to shoot the Contract Air Cargo 727-100 and spotted this Sports Charter N724YS at the airport. Since I don't know anything about sports so can someone shed some light as to what team this it. It looks like a Shark with a hockey stick.
Shooting 3 727s in less that one hour brought back a lot of memories.
The 727-100 and the Sharks are 2 new frames for me.

Re: Sport Chater 727-200 at EWR what Team is this?

That would be the San Jose Sharks.

They play the Islanders on Saturday.

The Sharks jet is probably going to be there a few days - after the Islanders on Saturday, they play the Strangers on Monday night, which explains why they went into EWR rather than FRG.

The CargoJet is a familiar site here at CYOW.

always nice to see a three-holer!
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

    Ychocky,
The CJT B722s to see be almost daily into EWR as well. Its always nice to see theme and that nice livery.

    cancidas,
That is true. They sure break the typical boring day of A320s and B737s
