Midwest/Republic quietly start E190 scheduled service at LGA

Because of Republic's acquistion of Midwest and Frontier and the phase out of Midwests 717 fleet it had been widely known that Midwests advance flight schedules would be accurate except for equipment type which could change on short notice. I had been watching their scheds closely in our CRS res system at my airline and all LGA advance schedules where either 717's or 170's. When I saw beautiful E-190 N165HQ in line for takeoff this afternoon I checked again and LGA is now down to (weekdays) 2 717, 2 E-190 and the rest E-170. So since some of you probably would like to grab a shot of a
YX E-190 Here are the new schedules effective Oct 1st.

    LGA-MKE (Departures)
    0700 (except Sun)
    1130 (Sunday only)
    1729 (except Sat)

    MKE-LGA (Arrivals)
    1659 (except Sat)
    1714 (Sat only)
    2249 (except Sat)

Once DST ends it will be limited light for the one daylite arrival so if you want one grab it soon. Will appear as RPA on flightrackers and callsign is "Brickyard". All flight numbers in the low 1800 range.

    Regards

    LGA777

The nine remaining 717s will be returned to Boeing on November 3rd. Midwest employees will be unemployed as of that date.

Not clear when the last LGA flights will be.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

Its a good looking plane, I saw two last week at MKE parked at the YX gates. Infact almost all the YX gates were full..no 717s though all E170s, 190s and CRJs. The one thing however it looked like a mix mosh of airlines. Some were in full YX colors, some were in Skywest colors, some were just white, and some were in Republic colors.

btw there's no more Signature Service all the E Jets have the standard 2x2 non biz seats. Amazing that YX went from an all biz class airline that served 3 course meals on real china to you now get a crappy cookie..which btw they changed their cookie vendor, the new cookies blow.

Those 717 aircraft will have new homes, I think most are accounted for already.....

I wonder how long it will be before they repaint them into something else or drop the 717s all together.
I will miss the original MEP. I took many trip to MKE when they had a very large presence there. Now its is almost nothing at all- too bad so sad.

They had the second DC91 off the line- N700ME
