it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

Embraer parade, my favorite shot of the day...

    Getting a wave back...

This might have been my best exposure of the day, but that cone is bugging me:

It was kind of funny seeing a line of airliners holding short for this CAP Cessna to make a wobbly landing

Hi everybody -- I'm a new addition to NYCA and happy to be here. Some of you may have seen my shots on A.net.

It was my first time at a Kids Day, and yes one does feel like a kid in a candy store... big fast loud candy. And obviously I had the wrong lens for the job. I was expecting rwy 31 landings so I had an ultrawide and a big prime, and left the 70-200 home. Mistake. But after all everybody knows that the right lens for any given task is the one you didn't bring.

Happy to have met Phil et al. and looking forward to seeing you around!

Not a great shot but it would look okay over a newspaper story on American Airlines:

Also a crappy shot but note the Austrian 777 on final for the 22s at JFK:

Never saw a 13 landing from this angle, let alone get a decent shot of it:

    Boring plane, exciting light:

It was an Airbus A319, with CFM56 engines.
