Kids Day 2009: Post Your Photos Here

Well certainly it was an amazing day for those who attended. We had a great selection of aircraft and a welcoming atmosphere. Great to see a lot folks from NYCAviation! The event also offered great ramp shots of aircraft taxing to runway 13. Great to see a lot of people out there enjoying the wonder of aviation. Here are a few of my pics:

It was great to see so many NYCA folks out today. We saw an interesting mix of displays, and were treated to Rwy 13 arrivals all day.

The Airpower Museum was out in force...

Yes, Fred actually shot somewhere other than FRG!

    Thanks, Ron!

I just posted an album on facebook...many family photos from today (it was Phil's nephew's first time and there were just too many photo ops!), but there are also a handful of general event photos as well...you may see yourself! Also in the album are shots from the BBQ that followed - check it out:

Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

    Fun at Kids Day

We had a memorable time at Kids Day yesterday. Everybody was so nice. We were even allowed to adjust the throttle and the yoke in the cockpit on the AAL MD82. We even got to meet-up with Phil and a few others from this site. Even the weather cooperated. My only disappointment was that the aircraft from DAL never showed and I missed the F/A 18s fly-by. What time was that? We arrived at 11:45. I wanted to speak with the guy dressed like Col. Doolittle but he left before I got to see him. How about that Hercules and the 2 F/A 18 ? Amazing. That US Air A319 in historic Pacific Southwest livery was awesome. Too bad no KC-135.

Matt, the F/A-18s repositioned over to the GA ramp area. They said they are scheduled to depart today, around 3pm.

a little bit after 31, took off in formation from 31, picked up some speed in a nice shallow climb and after passing rwy 22 they pulled a nice 2-4G turn to the right and dissapeared....
