LAX (and maybe more) October 1, 2009

Since I know some of you guys are out on the west coast, I was wondering that aside from the spotting guide on here, that if you guys have any other pointers you can share with me with regards to spotting at LAX.

I'm actually spending the majority of my time at the MCAS Miramar Airshow, which is October 2-4, and my backup plan for the first is to do some spotting at LAX if I can't get access to the practice show. I may even want to check out LGB in the hopes to catch a C-17 test flight (and hopefully if it hasn't been delivered yet, the second Qatar C-17!). I'm shooting video, so I'd want some of that jet noise... if you know what I mean!

    I appreciate any help!

It was delivered this past Thursday, unfortunately.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9
