    Pilots

The subject can be a little misleading. Anyone here a non-commercially rated pilot? or commercial that likes to fly GA a/c?

And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

i was thinking about that one, where'd you get yours? just used the Jeppesen study guide? or do you have to take formal classes and all that.

FAA requires 40 hours of class-time. We had a stack of about 10 books, mostly ATP (airline transport pilot) study guides, as a majority of the ATP questions are also DX questions.

I'm a PP-ASEL. I did my training at SMQ and flew out of MMU for a while; I've been on sort of a break from flying for a bit, though.

Like Matt (AA 777), I've got my commercial ASEL, AMEL, instrument and CFI.

Will be taking the ATP written before the end of the year as a final for one of my classes.

    Re: Pilots

I don't have any FAA ratings but I am going to fly DC10s, does that count? lol

I actually took some test the other week to get a commercial license, but I have to go to a FSDO or something like that with some paperwork to actually get the license....

Does anyone know of any good ones around here (preferably in South Jersey/Philly area)

The Feds actually require 200 hours class time. The other 40 hours are for review and practice testing.
