The Algerian, and Libyan buses were parked near the fuel farm and I would seriously suggest not pulling out a camera to try for a photo in that area!!!!

Where's your sense of bravery Geoff?? If it had still been light at 7pm last night I would have done it! Oh I forgot you were with Garry ;-)

Saw the Polish Tu-154 into EWR between 4pm & 5pm.

Mexican AirForce B757 (I believe thats what it was) still on the ground at EWR around 3pm.

Someone I know at PIT said two runways are closed to accomodate the approx 60 visitors, he said that includes 20 widebodies.

    Cheers

NO TZ-TAC on my watch.. It would be shameful for me to even HOPE I could get something by chance or just by showing up like others do.
The only thing I managed to pull off today was a "Modified" livery on the Russian IL-76. I shot it 2 times in years back but this time the Aeroflot titles are removed and they placed a small Decal on the tail.
The only new thing for me today was a Small Roundel on the tail of a Russian IL-76.
The Second shot is the IL-76 at JFK a few years back in full Aeroflot colors. I still LOVE IL-76s and never get used to hearing those screaming engines.
Oh well maybe better luck tomorrow.

What a great day. Spent the day with Moose, Mario and Sabastian.

This is just the UN stuff.

it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

A spectacular day with Moose, Eric and Sebastian.

Began at 0930. I put my son in the car and look to the sky over Huntington, seeing a 4 engined jet.....odd stripes, too bulky to be a 340. I think the II 96 just cruised over my house!

My curse when it comes to UN week is that

    a) I rarely go. (You actually have to go to see planes ;) )

    b) Russian jets are always seen at 7000 feet, no closer for me.

But my son is a lucky charm. Finally I saw the Il- 96 and Il-62 but a bonus Il-76 that I never thought I would see in a lifetime. And got some sweet shots!

More importantly, I chased my boy around, a good day, boys day out!
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

    Wowwwowowowowowwowowow.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

Sorry to hear the hunt for the 707 didn't pay off Senga. I know you work hard to catch the rare planes (well worth it IMO) and your efforts usually pay off. It's possible that it went to another airport first for whatever reason and could show up at JFK later, hopefully.

Did the Algerian Air Force A340-500 ever show up and was shootable? I thought that could be new for you guys

Was told the Ruskie IL-76 was originally in last Friday after dark so didn't even get to see it, maybe next year...

Let me tell you, the Ii-76 was perfect. She took off and stayed straight and low, almost as if by request, and banked nice and late. It was very cool. Nice to hear the rumble of Russian technology!

    Wow. Amazing collection there, Eric.

Did Air Force One take off from a different runway?
